The Senate voted 100-0 in favor of the "No Tip Tax Act," and Ted Cruz updates the report

Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz has provided an important update after the Republican-controlled U.S. Senate voted 100-0 in favor of the "No Tip Tax Act," giving President Donald Trump another major legislative victory.

Cruz is pushing the bill, which would eliminate tips from federal income tax and which Trump championed during the election campaign. The bill seeks to help millions of American workers who rely on tips for a significant portion of their income.

"President Trump promised the American people he would eliminate tip taxes. In Congress, I built a bipartisan, bicameral coalition to achieve this, and in the Senate, I introduced the No Tip Tax Act. Today, I joined Senator Rosen on the floor to secure the bill's passage in the Senate," Cruz said.
