Harvard has received official notice that leaves it in a
position to survive on its own resources. This comes at a time when its
educational quality is being questioned.
Education Secretary Linda McMahon has just informed Harvard
University that it will no longer receive federal funding:
"This letter is to inform you that Harvard should no
longer apply for federal grants, as they will not be awarded.
Harvard will cease to be a publicly funded institution and
will be able to operate as a privately funded institution."
