By suppressing freedom of expression in Germany, a single-minded regime is being imposed in Europe, says geopolitician Lacalle

The changes Germany is undergoing are a cause for concern not only for geopolitical analysts, but for all of Europe.

Let's start with freedom of expression, a right that Daniel Lacalle maintains "we must all defend," "letting people with whom we disagree express their opinions."

The fact is that in the European Union, the "far right" is used as a trump card to, first, "whitewash the far left" and perpetuate a system that is no longer democratic and that imposes policies that generate significant discontent among citizens. Furthermore, this discontent is ignored.

Discontent with industrial, economic, migration, and tax policies—those so-called "green" policies that destroy the primary sector and industry.

In the face of this, the "rise of the far right" is used to silence the population dissatisfied with these policies, Lacalle maintains.

Why is there absolute silence in the European Union regarding those who endanger democracy? The extractive bureaucracy that completely ignores citizen discontent and the far left, which serves as its "useful idiot" because it advances the most extremist policies: the 2030 Agenda, which has seemingly harmless objectives, but which is used as a "Trojan Horse," like the New Green Deal, to introduce totalitarianism, the most open interventionism, to curtail free enterprise.

“This is very worrying because it shows us that in the European Union, faced with economic stagnation, the loss of industry, the loss of competitiveness, the loss of technological advancement… politicians are deciding to defend themselves by attacking those who question the decisions they have made in a completely interventionist manner.

In case there were any doubts, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, publicly stated that it is easier to dismantle information beforehand than once it has been published. This was referring to manipulated information (that contradicts the policies imposed in the EU), which she considered, by the way, a virus. Therefore, she said that citizens should be “vaccinated” so that they are not contaminated (or do not find out) by bad information, or disinformation, as she also called it, in a public video on the internet.

“It is well known that the one who always seeks to manipulate information is the government; in that case, von der Leyen should defend freedom of expression and not suppress it, as she intends,” explains Lacalle, who added: It has been proven on multiple occasions that what she calls misinformation is the true information, as occurred with the 19 pandemic.

“What's happening is that the full force of the state is being used to keep citizens in check. When you're dissatisfied, you keep quiet, and when there are elections, an agreement is reached between the winner and the losers, and you put up with it. As happened in France, if they don't like the results, the elections are canceled.”

According to Daniel, there's talk of censorship, of eliminating dissidents, of using “democratic” mechanisms to impose totalitarianism. Why aren't there any measures to prevent the extremes of the left? “In fact, what they call the extreme right is citizen discontent against policies that are anything but moderate.

It's extremely worrying because the goal isn't to defend democracy, but to use the concepts of democracy, freedom of expression, defense of institutions, etc., just as the Soviet Union and the German Democratic Republic did, to establish a single-minded regime. THAT'S THE PROBLEM,” Lacalle concludes.
