Former President Joe Biden gave his first interview since
leaving office in January, and he quickly made several revealing confessions.
In an interview with the BBC, host Nick Robinson asked Biden
directly if he regretted not retiring earlier to give someone else a better
chance of defeating President Donald Trump.
Most of the conversation focused on international trade and
diplomacy, but Robinson concluded by asking about the shocking moment when
Biden declared he would not seek a second term just three months before the end
of the campaign.
When asked if he felt retiring earlier would have made a
difference and if he had any regrets, Biden responded emphatically,
"No," on both counts.
