An American citizen shared on social media the projected cost of his family's health insurance for 2026, highlighting what he considers a financially unsustainable healthcare system for the average family.
According to the information provided, his Bronze Saver Plus
plan would have the following conditions:
Monthly premium: $2,094.15
Total annual premium cost: $27,229
Annual deductible: $13,000
Maximum out-of-pocket expense: $20,300
This means that even paying more than $27,000 a year in
premiums alone, the family would have to cover thousands of additional dollars
before the insurance would begin to significantly cover medical services.
Faced with this situation, the user expressed frustration,
pointing out that no average family can afford such a scheme, and attributed
the deterioration of the healthcare system to the Affordable Care Act, enacted
during Barack Obama's presidency.
“Nobody can afford this. Barack Obama destroyed our healthcare
with the Affordable Care Act. This CAN'T be real! How are families supposed to
get healthcare? I'm lost... This is insane.”
“This CAN'T be real! How are families supposed to get
healthcare? I'm lost… This is insane,” he wrote, reflecting the sense of
despair shared by many Americans in the face of the high cost of healthcare.
