Canadian Ryan Wedding, 44, who once excelled as an Olympic
snowboarder and a prominent figure in winter sports, is now facing a dramatic
turn in his public life. The former athlete has been formally charged with
murder, money laundering, and drug trafficking, charges that link him to a
complex criminal network with international operations.
Following these accusations and after evading authorities,
Wedding was added to the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, a designation
reserved only for individuals considered highly dangerous or capable of
remaining at large for extended periods. His inclusion on this list led to a
significant increase in the reward offered for information leading to his
capture, which now stands at $15 million.
Authorities continue their search operations, while the case
has garnered significant media attention due to the stark contrast between his
athletic career and the serious criminal record he now faces.
