Mexico experienced an "election campaign" this
Sunday that clearly failed and demonstrated the political weakness of both the
Legislative Branch, with its imposed ruling party majority, and also the
Presidency itself.
According to official data, only 11 percent of citizens went
to the polls, despite the mobilization and reported vote buying by the ruling
party, which holds 22 governorships, almost as many state legislatures, municipal
presidencies, senators, federal legislators, and so on.
Mexican citizens decided to express their disapproval of the
so-called 4T (T4T) led by the MORENA party, which relied on continuing to
deliver a triumphalist rhetoric amid popular disapproval.
Elections were also held for a governorship and municipal
presidencies, which ratified their disapproval of MORENA, and the resurgence of
opposition forces such as the National Action Party and the emergence of the
Citizen Movement.
As of yesterday, it became clear that the lie is being told
when people talk about the over 80% public approval rating for current
President Claudia Sheinbaum and the big lie about the approval ratings for
pro-government governments and legislators.
The controversial and condemned judicial reform hit the
ruling party like a huge stone in the head, highlighting the public sentiment
against the ruling party and what it represents./ E.ESGLOTAC
