A new poll shows that a majority of American voters support
President Donald Trump's decision to deploy the National Guard to Los Angeles.
A poll conducted Monday by RMG Research among 1,000
registered voters found that 52% "strongly" or "somewhat"
approve of Trump's decision to send troops in response to ongoing street
protests.
Meanwhile, 42% said they disapprove of the deployment and 7%
remain undecided, the Daily Signal first reported.
Riots broke out in Los Angeles on Friday in response to
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations, prompting President Trump
to initially deploy 2,000 National Guard troops, and later another 2,000. The
riots continued into Monday night, resulting in the arrest of more than 100
rioters.
