Four migrants escaped from the ICE Delaney Hall detention
center in Newark, New Jersey, on Thursday night after an apparent disturbance
inside the building, a senior Homeland Security official told Fox News.
“Additional law enforcement officers have been mobilized to
find these fugitives, and a search warrant has been issued,” the official said.
Immigration attorney Mustafa Cetin reported that the delay
in meals upset about 50 inmates at the private facility, prompting them to
knock down a dormitory wall.
“The issue is food, and some detainees were becoming
aggressive, and the situation turned violent,” Cetin said.
